Hi guys,

I'm trying to translate "NPAI" (N'habite pas à l'adresse indiquée).

I've found "Recipient Address Invalid" (taken from the computer language) but I guess there may be something more appropriate.

Thank you in advance,

Best,

Hi

I would go for "unknown at this address" ... Hope this helps !
(someone correct me if I'm wrong... ).

Nemo auditur,

Are you talking about "NPAI emails" ?
Because "bounces" is the equivalent for NPAI in this case ...

Or about a portion of a letter ?

e.g : "la lettre nous a été retournée, la Poste nous indiquant que le destinataire n'habite plus à l'adresse indiquée"

I've found this translation : "the post office noting that the addressee no longer lives at the indicated address " or
"The recipient does not live at the indicated address"

........
I'm not sure if this helps, but i've just found a discussion about NPAI :

The general term in the US is "return to sender" - you do not have to indicate why. I was curious, though, so I checked the Postal Service Site (http://www.usps.com/news/online/02_1104_1.htm).
'RTS mail will say "Return To Sender" in red ink followed by one of these endorsements: "Undeliverable as Addressed," "Attempted Not Known," "Insufficient Address," "No Such Number" or "For Reason Shown."'

"Return to sender, not at this address": "RTS".
